Mysore , The city of Art , Karnataka

Mysore is the second largest city in Karnataka , which is located 150 km from Bangalore , which is famous for Dussera Festival  which is celebrated very grandly with the blessings of mata chamundi devi . Mysore which is famous for its palace called mysore palace which was constructed in 1524 by the king Chamaraja wodeyar III .

Mysore city is known as the cultural capital of Karnataka , the city in which is celebrates Dussera very grandly for 10 days , Dussera was first celebrated by king Raja Wodeyar I in the year 1610 .

Mysore city is famous for its zoo which is located in the heart of the city which is very huge to see and with variety of animals , which consists animals like lion , tiger , monkeys , snakes , birds etc .

Another attraction for the mysore city is the kaveri dam or Krishna raja wodeyar dam on the river Kaveri is very famous and the Bridavan Garden next to the dam is very beautiful and the laser shows in the Garden is very which attracts most of the travelers to the city .

Another famous attraction to the city Mysore is just 30 kms from Mysore which the water flow of river Kaveri is flowing , Edmuri and  chicmuri called as burmuri falls , which attracts most of the tourist from Bangalore every week who wants to have  a nice time and play in water ,  Where you can have a great time with your family  .

The journey from Bangalore to Mysore is really good , 160 Km journey to Mysore takes you to many places in between the journey .  While travelling from Bangalore to Mysore you find Bidadi , Madur , Ramnagar , Mandya , Srirangapatna and then comes Mysore .

Sangam , is the historical place which is just situated 30Km from Mysore  where the water of three rivers merge which is called as triveni sangam  , which is a very famous place where all believe that if the ashes of dead person are mixed in the triveni sangam they soul will reach heaven .

Srirangapatna , which is also at 30 Km from Mysore is very famous and historical , where the famous Emperor Tippu Sultan body was found and there is place where the body of tippu sultan and his parents are kept and are worship by many people .
