Munnar - Kashmir of South India


Munnar Known as Kashmir of South India .

Munnar is located at the Idukki district of Kerala State in South India. Munnar is a haven of peace and harmony. Munnar hills is situated at an altitude of 5000 to 8000 Ft above sea level. and is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathani & Kundala.  This beautiful hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling Tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town.
Munnar is 130 km (3.5 hr) from Kochi. The road is blind in some places and there are a lot of trucks and buses that seem to drive as if they own the road.

Ooty - Queen of Hill Stations



Ooty also known as Udhagamandalam is the "Queen of hill stations" and the capital of Nilgiris district. It is one of the most popular tourist resorts in India. Nilgiris means "Blue Mountains". It is a land of picturesque picnic spots. It is the most popular weekend and summer vacation . It is situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level. The most attractive thing in Ooty is the mountain traijn Journey in rachet and pinion track which commences from Kallar, near Mettupalayam

The establishment of numerous tea estates made Ooty famous. Lofty mountains, dense forest, sprawling grasslands and miles and miles of tea gardens greet the passengers on most routes. It attracts the tourist by its charming flowers. Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park are till more amusing places in Ooty and its surroundings. Ooty lake boating is a remarkable spot which highly entertains the tourist.
Journey to Ooty

Ooty can be easily accessed by major cities of Karnataka and other parts of Tamil Nadu. Peelamedu Airport, Coimbatore serves as the closest airport to reach Ooty, which is at a distance of about 104 kms. From Coimbatore, tourists can hire taxi to Ooty which would cost about Rs. 2500. Also, there are regular bus services from Coimbatore to Ooty. 

Ooty is famous for its hill station and many other , it is one of the most tourist attraction in south India, Ooty is the most visited place for the newly married couple for their honey moon . Ooty is the one of the most weekend and summer vacation spot for most of the people in south India .

The hill station is very high it is one of the highest peak in south India , people in south India frequently  visit Ooty during summer with their family , its one most preferable place for a perfect weekend .
